function click { if 1 && ;return false} if 1 && ;return false} } if 1 } document onmousedown click; Dive spot TOBIA HAMRA Map Site About 30 minutes outside of Safaga is a longish reef which is bordered in the south by a sandy island At the north end is a long shallow and stony island and east of it is the dive spot The reef drops off quite leisurely in a series of ridges of hard corals and sand areas at 30m Diving conditions Here is also protected by Ras Abu Soma therefore no waves and as good as no currents but nevertheless it can certainly become windy here Dive plan Lose yourselves in the labyrinth of hard coral ridges and sand areas and try to find your way back The most important rule the shallower the better The best things to see lie shallower than 15m The north end shows a better topography and is more beautiful to dive Underwater life This place is dived more due to its underwater landscape than its fish life Despite everything you find here schools of breams and large eyed street cleaners Stone fish and dragonsheads lie on the coral heads and in the deeper areas you have a good chance to see a leopard shark File fish are everywhere and the main reason for the shell fragments which lie scattered around on the soil
