function click { if 1 && ;return false} if 1 && ;return false} } if 1 } document onmousedown click; Dive spot GAMUL KEBIR Map Site Just north of Safaga Island and only 20 minutes away from Safaga is a large round reef known as Gabul Kebir In the middle is a long unknown reef and in the north east three small colourful Ergs Green areas have grown all around Diving conditions It can be reached in all weather conditions and the moorings are well sheltered Current come from the north east and can sometimes be really very strong Dive plan Either you dive from the moorings through the "Fossa" towards the three Ergs or you start the dive direcktly at the three Ergs The boat can then go to the moorings where you will end the dive Underwater life This reef is known for a vile looking school of large barracudas which are 1 5m and larger They are made up of Jello and dark finned barracudas and they patrol around the three Ergs or the sea grass areas north of the main reef Eagle rays and white tipped sharks are regularly seen here and although seldom a manatee All around the Ergs nose doctor fish snappers large eyed street cleaners breams and script filefish can be found In the sand colonies of sand eels live and if you look a little more closely you may see winged large fish and sand fleas
