function click { if 1 && ;return false} if 1 && ;return false} } if 1 } document onmousedown click; Dive spot ERG ABU RAMADA Map Site On the south east side of Abu Ramada is a wide sandy level that stretches out further to the east Just before it drops off three large Ergs arise from the seabed to just under the surface They lie in a line the largest in the south and the smallest in the north Diving conditions Most of the time it is too choppy to dive here because the site is exposed to the swell Having been spared the devastation caused by divers it has hardly lost any of its untouched beauty If you think that you´ve experienced a strong current before then you should dive here because most of the time it is like that However every now and again it is calm and pleasant as if nothings wrong Dive plan Don´t waste any time going to the steep drop off There are better dive spots than that You can put your air to much better use by circling around the Ergs in that you always work shallower Visit the small holes on the east side of the larger Ergs and on the north side of the middle Ergs The north side shows an unusually thick growth of crimsonred soft corals and the shallower one is the prettier they are This is a must dive for photographers Underwater life It´s much easier to list the things that you won´t see here morays napoleons tuna barracudas schools of doctor fish groupers and a cloud of thousands of small harem flagged perch are obvious
