function click { if 1 && ;return false} if 1 && ;return false} } if 1 } document onmousedown click; Dive spot CARLESS REEF Map Site An hour north easterly from Hurghada rises a high sea reef plateau like from the bottom The largest part is at a depth of 12 25m which goes outwards and slowly drops to 22 24m and here the steep drop begins On the plateau are two Ergs the larger in the north west the smaller in the south east They are surrounded by a coral wallwith large swarms of fish Diving conditions The Ergs offer no shelter against the sea and because of this reason Carless has been protected against its own fame The current is unforseeable On the surface it usually comes from the north but deeper below they can come from all different directions Dive plan There are two good dives possible here Firstly start the dive northerly from both Ergs and follow the easterly steep drop off to the southerly Erg As an alternative from the anchorage you can dive on either side of the plateau and go around the Ergs in a figure eight Underwater life This site is overfilled with aömost everything On the plateau look out for free swimming morays white tipped reef sharks turtles and in the north for schools of angel fish Along the steep drop off tuna "Dickkopf"mackerels large groupers and early in the morning perhaps a hammer head
