function click { if 1 && ;return false} if 1 && ;return false} } if 1 } document onmousedown click; Dive spot SHAAB ABU NUGAR Map Site Approx 60 90 minutes north from Hurghada is Abu Nugar consisting of a T formed reef in the west and a flat plateau with many ergs in the east You can dive either on the south easterly ergs on the two large middle ergs or on the north side of the tongue which points west from the main reef The name Abu Nugar means directly translated "father of the ponds" as as inuendo of the many clear lagoons in the reef roof Dive conditions It can be a little choppy on the way there but once there it is well sheltered Current is usually gentle Dive plan Several areas of this reef system are boring whereas others offer a shallow dive on almost untouched reefs When possible dive the three ergs to the north of the tongue they are absolutely magical Underwater life The reef is made up of a great variety of hard corals table coral brain coral etc The fish life is not that spectacular though you can see many file fish parrot fish and nose doctor fish
